danyka was born as the second child to morgan and victor delmino. her older brother, harrison, was shy of two years older than her, which meant that the two of them grew up being quite close. the fact that he was her older brother never escaped her, and it was often with frustrated sighs and tantrums that danyka would watch as her brother got to do and learn stuff before she could.

growing up in the delmino household, danyka and her brother had it pretty good. their parents worked hard to provide for them as well as give them an enjoyable childhood. to most, it would have seemed like they were the happiest family ever, and even danyka thought so for years. but as danyka got older, she started to notice the constant bickering, which only seemed to escalate over time quickly became too much for the parents as well as the kids. danyka was just shy of 9 years old when her parents filed for divorce. victor, her father, moved from their home in tarrytown to Dobbs Ferry in order to stay close to his kids and to make the shared custody easier of them with school and everything. The last thing they wanted to do was make the kids choose, so they figured it out that until the kids were 18 they would live officially with Morgan and could spent 2 to 3 nights at Victor's house of their choosing a week. It worked out for a while, they mostly did weekends at dads house and sometimes would do a weeknight if Victor had the ability to get them to school the next morning.

in the younger classes, danyka was quite the avid pupil. she loved learning new things and loved getting gold stars whenever she achieved something. her love for learning never went away, though over time it lessened as her focus shifted to the extracurricular activities the school had to offer instead. joining the cheerleading squad and the girl's volleyball team quickly became her top priorities, much to her parents dismay who both wanted her to excel academically.

her dad remarried when danyka was still in high school, and though beth, his new wife, was actually pretty decent, danyka couldn't quite cope with it at first. she had always deep down hoped that her parents would get back together. over time, she came to accept that things were as they were and that there was nothing she could do to change it. and with time, she could also see that the divorce had probably been the best for everyone involved.

upon graduating from sleepy hollow high school, danyka was left with the choice of going with a community college or an out of state college. in the end, she decided to follow in her brother's footstep and went to pace university where she wanted to major in sociology/anthropology with a minor in photography.

not long after her eighteenth birthday, danyka along with a couple of friends went to las vegas during the summer vacation with a couple of older guys that they had been hanging out with. there, she in a drunken state and in the spur of the moment, got hitched at the elvis chapel with one of the guys (name). the marriage was annulled less than 48 hours later though, which her parents took care of. at the time, danyka was horrified that she had done something so spontaneous, but looking back on it it was an experience that she would not be without.

next to her studies she got a job as a receptionist at a dentist's office. it wasn't the type of job she had been looking for, but when the opportunity came, she jumped at the chance. she worked there for about a year. she graduated from uni in 2015 and a couple of months after graduation she got offered a job as an assistant to a photographer--here danyka got to use what she had learned at school and experience first hand what it would be like to be a proper photographer.

She stands at 5'5" tall, and has a hate/love relationship with her height. danyka likes to read, and read a lot she does. She especially enjoys trashy romance novels (read: Barbara Cartland). She prefers buying the books instead of going to the library as she gets some kind of satisfaction by owning the books. She has failed her drivers test three times, and is therefore reliant on public transportation or on others driving her around. Thankfully, she likes to walk (and it totally counts as working out).

she believes in love at first sight and is actually quite the romantic, though she’s not much for admitting that, as she’s afraid of getting hurt. She is quite social and seems to be able to be friends with basically everyone she meets. She likes to include everyone and hates it when someone feels left out. She's scared of ghosts and hates being home alone. In fact, whenever she's home alone she turns on the light in all rooms and stays up watching romantic movies until she practically passes out.

ever since she was a kid, danyka has always been a very social and forward girl. she's a very loyal and caring friend, who likes making sure that everyone is doing okay. she's always been very independent, and has pretty much always known what she wanted out of life. she's always disliked conflicts, and is very much a people pleaser.
